David trained as a classical cellist beginning at age 6. As a teenager he performed professionally in chamber groups throughout Upstate NY and Western MA, played in the Empire State Youth Orchestra, SSYO, and Skidmore College Orchestra, and played as first chair in the all-state NYSSMA orchestra for two consecutive years after receiving individual audition scores of 100/100.
He still plays cello today at local music jams in Austin, TX, for friends’ birthdays and funerals, and for backing tracks in the show Earthsong.
2015 - 2024

David completed his first coach training and certification program at age 22 with the infamous company OneTaste (ask him about that story sometime). After completing their CP12 cohort, he continued training under:
-Cedric Bertelli of EmRes
-Robert MacDonald of the Telos Center
-Fred Mitouer of Somatic Agency
-Jeffrey Tarrant of Neuromeditation
-Shinzen Young of Unified Mindfulness
And, following the principles of deliberate practice mapped out in Anders Ericsson’s Peak and validated through his own experience in classical cello, he has dedicated myself to ongoing study with master practitioners, participating in over a dozen private apprenticeships or mentorships in his pursuit of mastery as a transformational coach for the last 11 years.
This drive for mastery and the progress it engendered led to David being sought after as a faculty member for coach training programs, eventually teaching coaches-in-training in the following programs:
Third Wave’s Practitioner Training Program, 2021-2023
Carolyn Elliott’s first Existential Kink Coach training and certification program, 2019-2020
The Coaching Dojo — the first deliberate practice-based coach training program, founded by Toku McCree, 2018
His clients today regularly experience and stabilize miracles.
Since the beginning of 2025, David has shifted his primary focus to his work with The Mysteries and their original show Earthsong, but still maintains his orientation towards lifelong mastery in this profoundly fulfilling art.
