The Mysteries is an Austin-based production company dedicated to giving a voice to the ineffable.
Co-founded by Sophie Kruip and David Adam Burns in 2022, we produced our first immersive experience—Eleusis—in the fall of 2023—for 17 participants, all sworn to silence about the nature of the experience, following the tradition of the Ancient Greek Mysteries.
After producing Eleusis 4 times, we opened our doors to the public in May of 2025 with our first one-act preview of Earthsong — a new telling of the story of Persephone & Demeter, told through the medium of ritual musical theater.
